Replaced dashboard on megane, now ignition stuck on and burnt out starter motor related?

The dashboard has been changed on my megane due to a faulty petrol Gauge, now my ignition has stuck on and burnt out starter motor when replacing dash could the ignition or wiring be affected?|||sounds like a pinched wire, between the new dash board, and some metal. Causing a short.|||should not have any thing to do with the ignition|||Whats a megane?
