im not sure what year model it is but they%26#039;ve also got the 600 1986 manual, with a bit of luck you may find what you need

Good luck|||The starter housing is under the carbs closer to the left side of the bike.there are 3 screw that hold the cover on.First take the battery out and unhook the wires from the starter solenoid. Then take the screws out of the starter cover. The stator cover then needs to come off and you also need to purchase a new gasket for it.Then take the starter loose from the engine. There is 2 bolts that hold the starter to the engine with clamps. Then you need to pull the gear off the starter motor where the starter clutch is.BE SURE THIS IS YOUR PROBLEM FIRST!!! You could have a bad solenoid or possible corrosion on your starter button.Take a multimeter and see if you are getting voltage to the solenoid.I would suggest checking out your electrical system with a multimeter first before replacing the starter. These usually dont fail. Most electrical problems are due to bad connections.Clean all your ground wires and try to start it.
